December 22 — Hora Pe Gheata and Irish Line Dance

Andree taught two dances to the early group: Irish Line Dance and Hora Pe Gheata (Romania). I, Judith, was unfortunately caught up in the case of the missing dogs.

December 8, 2011 – reviews and Srpkinja (Serbia)

Marcel reviewed Steppin Out (USA) and Zagorisios (Greece) and reviewed a dance he taught in July: Srpkinja, from Serbia. Srpkinja means “Serbian girl”.

I couldn’t find a video of the dance, but here is a nice youtube video of the music being played on a mountain dulcimer:

Marcel taught Steppin Out, a novelty dance from the United States, as well as Zagorisios, from Greece. Andrée also reviewed Esmer from Azerbaijan, very briefly.

Nov 3 and 10, 2011 — Hora de la Soroca, Dolj, and Erev Ba

Carolle and I (Judith) taught and reviewed Hora de la Soroca and Hora lautareasca din Dolj, both Romanian dances that are taught by Sonja and Christian Florescu. I also reviewed Erev Ba, from Israel.

Michèle will review / reteach Bavno Oro (Macedonia), which she first taught September 29th. She will also review Ajde Jano (Serbia) as well, if time allows. I will add a video of Ajde Jano when I find one that is done the same way that we do it at IFDO.
